Happy Friday all! Hope everyone has had a great week and hello the weekend! Last week I shot a couple of outfits in town on my day off and this is one of them! I still feel like I haven't got that much new current winter clothing but then I am trying to work a lot of old and new clothes together for two reasons; 1. why should all your last year clothing go to waste!? and 2. I'm not getting paid from my new retail job for another month so I'm on a tight budget for a few weeks! I'm still determined to show you guys any new blogging mail over on my Instagram and if I can combine any of the items into a outfit then I'll make sure to blog it as soon as! There is so much I want to buy right now!
Okay lets start with the Fashion Union grey ruffle jumper. I have been seeing all these ruffles on tops and jumpers everywhere and admittedly I wasn't keen, but I wanted to pick a ruffled jumper just to try something different. I literally just stumbled upon it on ASOS and liked how the model was wearing it so cudos to the ASOS stylist because the jumper got added to the bag! I like where the ruffles sit and like how its combined with a cable knit design. It's also really cheap too! This is very much a guilt free purchase! I would love to style it with a skirt like this perhaps? We shall see!
So I decided to style it with a New Look blouse to add some layering and then wore my other Acne Dupe Jacket from ASOS last year. This jacket feels such good quality and love the buckle detail on the sleeves. The only thing I can criticise is that the arms are rather snug on and I do wish they were a little looser for an oversized fit. I have linked some similar new season alternatives which would work just as well with this outfit. Check the details below!
The boots are also 'so last year'. In fact I remember begging the sales assistant in Topshop Oxford Circus to get them off the mannequin because they were the last size 7's and it was Boxing Day. She must have been in a good mood because they allowed it! I love the marble block heel and they are a breeze to strut in because they are only 3 inches high! Again I have added alternatives below which are super similar! I'm not normally a massive shoe person but I remember really wanting these at the time and they are real leather so they weren't cheap! I really ought to wear them more whoops!
Surely I'm not the only one that buys something expensive and doesn't get much wear out of it afterwards? Can anyone relate!?!?
