Good Evening all! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I'm trying to get back on track with the blogging routine but being unwell has knocked me back urgh. Typical isn't it!? Luckily I have posts scheduled now until next week so I'm getting the ball rolling again! At the moment summer feels so far away and I need things to look forward to. Luckily over the weekend I did buy Creamfields festival tickets. This will be my fourth year running and I'm dragging the boyfriend with me which I'm sure he can handle with some alcohol in him ha! I just want summer to hurry up now!
At least all this summer clothing is getting me geared up for festival season though. That's where Wanderdusk Jewellery comes in! Of course bohemian style jewellery can be worn all year round, but I especially love all the designs and the vibrant colours to help add some glam to my playsuits and floaty tops! Chokers have made a massive comeback this season and I love the simplicity of this Warrior choker. I think it's also great for smarter outfits too. Instead of wearing a standard chain pendant necklace this could easily be worn with a white wrap blouse for example. I'm still undecided as to whether this outfit is more smart or casual to be honest!! It's probably most practical for evening casual drinks or a meal out. Do check out their massive collection because they are seriously affordable and their ring selection is especially beaut! (Just double check your ring size beforehand!)
So I styled the jewellery with an H&M embroidered jacket which I've owned for a few weeks but it just hasn't made it to my bloggy blog yet. The print reminded me of my Turkish holidays where I see these colours and shapes everywhere in the markets! It's like a mix of Aztec and Morrocan style in my opinion?! Wherever the print was inspired from, I fell in love with it and I'm sure it will get lots of wear when it gets warmer. Luckily its lightweight and I can't wait to wear it with ripped shorts and a western belt.
The heels are sadly very very old. In fact I got these shoes on my uniform allowance whilst I was still working at Topshop! I thought the gold metal straps would match the colours on the jacket. These shoes haven't been worn in so long but I'm happy to be reunited with them because I really want to sway away from my ankle boots now that we are into spring. Check out the alternative shoes below that would also suit this look!
This outfit has definitely got me thinking about what I want my style to be like this summer. I remember last year I blogged A LOT of kimonos. I would love my looks to be a cross between laid back/ classy / city chick but then my love for Bohemian festival inspired is always strong ha! If I can mix all of this together, or get this balance right then I will be impressed! I am loving all these cold shoulder/bardot tops right now though!
Whats your favourite item of Summer clothing? I know I wear my aviator sunnies all year round, but at least it is more acceptable to wear brighter shades around this time!
