Hey hey!! Hope everyone is having a good week so far! As some of you know may notice, I did blog this River Island jacket last month, but the difference this time is that I'm wearing it without the fur collar! Last time I blogged this jacket it was freezing cold, and it was worn for a casual winter look. This time I wanted to show that some of our winter coats CAN be used for the spring. I have always loved the colour and the suedette feel of this one, and although it's not the thickest of coats, its easy to layer underneath it, plus it can follow you into the spring season easy! Don't let the fur collar make you think it's for winter only!
I wanted the outfit to be smart casual, something that can be worn for Sunday lunch or for Friday cocktails. I think my favourite item in this look has to be the Public Desire Annelise lace up heels. Just lock at that block heel!! The taupe colour easily goes with the jacket and they were surpringly easy to walk in. They also come in black and tan, but I picked the taupe because I wanted the outfit to feel fresh, and I always pick black shoes! It was nice to wear a different colour for a change!
Can you believe that the little H&M black bag is only £14.99!? I'm definitely taking a liking to smaller bags lately. For once I'm agreeing with the 'less is more' motto. It's subtle, but the outfit would look empty without it, so it does play a part in this look for sure! It's even better that it was a guilt free purchase!
The Topshop Joni jeans that I'm wearing are almost sold out, but these alternatives here fit exactly like the Joni jeans and are massively cheaper! The only thing I would suggest is if you do buy these alternatives then go down a size for a super skinny fit! Apart from that, I would recommend them as my second choice when it comes to high waisted skinny jeans.
