Casually Grey

Hey Hey!! So whenever I have been in London lately, I have tried to get an outfit photographed because London practically takes up the whole day and if the weather is good then you really need to make the most of it! It blooming drains me though I literally wake up the next day feeling hungover! It zaps the life out of me but I know its all worth it!
Literally straight after this outfit got photographed, the heavens had opened and it tipped it down!! It came from nowhere but I didn't feel like these shots were rushed so I'm feeling very fortunate!
On instagram the other day I saw an outfit that was literally all grey! Normally I'm used to wearing all my statement jackets or colour blocking, so this was something really different for me to try. I knew I wasn't going to look exactly like this instagram photo, but the thought of wearing as much grey as possible inspired me to try it!
I love slouchy jackets and coats so this textured one from Monki is something that is genuine to my style anyways and the texture does make this look more appealing compared to it just being plain. I The style of this makes it great for layering and i'm also a fan of the length!
So to carry on the greyness I wore an old zip cape jumper from Asos. I wore it a lot last year, but the zips on the shoulders have broken so I always wear it like a sleeveless jumper now (but you have to wear a top underneath because the sides are split!). Any sleeveless jumper would suit this look so I have linked some below for you!
The jeans that I am wearing for once, ARE NOT TOPSHOP! I was after a pair of grey ripped skinny jeans which had a similar fit to the Joni and I think Missguided have nailed this alternative! These ones are called Vice but the stretch and feel of them are nearly identical to the Topshop fabric, plus they are cheaper! In Topshop joni I wear size 8 because they are baggy on the waist otherwise but because I always find Missguided aren't generous on the bottom half I tried the 10. These still fit but I did have to keep pulling them up. The size 8 might have been a squeeze, but I will definitely order a size down in the future and will let you know!
The little suede booties from River Island will probably get used in more of my outfits for the future because they are so comfy and I love that they aren't bulky or over the top. For once I like the fact that they are plain! They will also look great with going out dresses or playsuits if sandals aren't your cuppa!
