Winter Shades

Evening all! Today I experienced real winter photography issues today. We went to three locations to take this outfit! First one, the lighting was dark. Second one, lighting dark again. On the third location it rained! Luckily it was just a shower but it does make me dread the shorter evenings wah!!

ANYWAYS I didn't realise how hard it is right now to find a white coat! I purchased this one from H&M last year because I thought it would just be a wardrobe essential and I don't own a white coat. It might be too early season for white coats to be around but I think it really helps brighten an outfit when we are always wearing darker colours. Don't get me wrong I prefer winter clothing, but I also love it when winter clothing is eye popping! I have linked one very similar that would do the job if you wanted to replicate this look, but I have a feeling that there will be more white coats nearer to December.
I also got kindly sent these lovely two tone boots from Chockers Shoes. I loved the fact that the heel isn't too high on these (under 4 inches in fact), which makes these really easy to walk and THEY BARELY SLIP! I cannot stand all of these knee high boots that keep slipping and I'm constantly pulling them up. They kept their shape well whilst doing the walking shots and the fake zip on the outside of the boots makes a nice feature. I honestly would recommend them, but they are darker looking in person compared to what they look like on the website.
The jumper is also an old wardrobe item (there is nothing wrong with recycling people), but I love the length and how loose fitting it is! The jumper doesn't have sleeves, but I prefer to wear sleeveless jumpers with coats because I can't stand bunched up sleeves and your arms feeling restricted! I've linked one similar which looks identical to this one and it is cheaper than mine.
I'm still undecided on the sunglasses from ASOS, but I was just desperate to purchase a new pair and fell in love with the style of these and the marble effect on the top frame.  Statement glasses do take getting used to, but I think the secret to pulling off over the top sunnies is by having confidence! If you look awkward it is going to show!

  1. Really nice, as usual. Nothing unexpected but good choices and a nice outfit.
