Festival clothing doesn't have to always be bright and colourful! I think you can get away with wearing dark colours in the summer, but bright accessories or jewellery can really help give it some sparkle and glam. I don't own much snake print items (infact the only thing I can think of is my Mango sandals) but I took quite a liking to this gorgeous kaftan from Bows Boutique. It's basically a floaty and glamorous kimono top isn't it!? Even though the colours are dark I think the print really stands out and I LOVE the gold and silver v neck embellishment. If I was going on holiday again I would have definitely added this to my suitcase because this would also make a great cover up for on the beach. In this instnance though, I have to adapt to British weather and make it practical for a festival or party look (I suppose you could add heels and a clutch and that would really make it fancy!) Check out their website because they do sell other Kaftans like this one, and they do have some lovely stock!
Ark kindly sent me these awesome gladiator sandals and I love how bold they are! One factor thats great about these is that THEY DON'T FALL DOWN! I own a couple of gladiator sandals that you have to tie up so tight (practically cutting blood circulation) so the string doesn't slip. These have a zip at the back and you can adjust the fit at the front so I could literally skip and run in these if I really wanted to ha! I did notice though, that my legs and feet got very hot in them though, so maybe these are only good for when the weather is cooler but I can imagine the feet getting swollen perhaps on humid days.
I decided to keep the rest of the look black with my Asos suede fringe backpack and Missguided aviators. Luckily suede bags are easy to find every year so I've tagged one thats similar because I bought mine last summer. I've used it so much and suede is always a tough material so it doesn't look worn out, considering its been used abroad on the go and on the beach!
