I have a confession to make.. I never made it to Somerset House on House, BUT this was the outfit I bought and planned to wear. If you read my 'LFW outfit - Day 1', you would have seen the shoes I wore which were the reason why Saturday was a fail. Wearing knee high, barely broken in boots for 9 hours around London was a disaster! To the point where I put on the foot bath as soon as I got home. But when I woke up Saturday morning, I was limping. I have never had shoes that have injured my feet so much, not even going out shoes!
I still want to show you guys the outfit I'm not letting it go to waste! I fell in love with the Topshop blouse when it originally came out, but I have to admit the sizing and shape is quite a let down. My mum had to the pin the V neck because it was so low cut, and I don't think it sits right on my shoulders? What I'm dreading it putting it in the wash because the blue dye apparently runs!? Oh dear..I haven't heard any faults with the blue trench though and this is just GORGEOUS! I love the light weight fabric and the slit back detail on the back makes it look more floaty duster coat style, instead of a trench coat design. They do this in khaki, black, and camel. I know it's on the pricey side, but I know this will be worn loads in months to come.
I bought the culottes also from Toppers but ages ago! I think they went to sale, but I felt that the red colours went with some of the stripe detail on the blouse, and then matched my Missguided fedora. I love red and blue together, so having the cream blouse does separate the contrast with these two strong colours.
I'm convinced my sister has the best bag selection and only last minute realised how well this New Look clutch bag goes with the rest of the items! Maybe it's not the most pratical for days out, but the perfect statement clutch for any nights out with a LBD!
