Kimono in Winter

Velvet Kimono - Zara (similar 1  2 )  | Fur Stole and Boots - Missguided | Bag - Asos (similar here and here) | Leggings - Topshop old (similar)  | Necklace - Next | Fedora Hat and blouse - River Island

So one of the highlights on Xmas day was staying up til midnight for the Zara Sale! Admittedly I didn't think it was that special. They only reduce their prices by like, £10-£20, but that still benefitted me because the Kimono that I had my eye on had been reduced! Most of the time I will only buy from the sale if I had my eye on the items before they get reduced. My reasons for not buying them in the first place is possibly because I couldn't afford it, or I need someone to tempt me. So the Zara kimono wasn't an impluse buy, and I'm so happy I ordered it! The detail on it is beautiful! If you have followed me since the summer then you would know about my kimono addiction, so it was nice to style this up for the chilly weather!
The Missguided fur stole really helped to make this look more practical for winter. It helps to make the kimono look luxurious, and I needed a black fur stole in my life anyways. The ones on Missguided have been the cheapest I've seen so far and it feels lovely!
I wanted to keep the rest of the look monochrome and classy, so I think the Topshop leggings help to make this outfit look tougher, and then the River Island blouse is smart and a nice length.
I love this look so much I would almost wear it to somewhere like London Fashion Week! But would need to add some sunnies and possibly a clutch bag like this instead!

  1. Beautiful kimono and styled very similarly to how I would myself, I think! It's a very timeless look, seen as I am nearly 45!
Hope 2015 is as fabulous as 2014 has been for you x

  3. Once again great thanks for defining this topic in such a way, revelation.
