Hey guys!
I'm so sorry that I haven't posted much this week. My mum has been away in Amsterdam all week which has left me feeling useless because I've had no one to take my blog photographs! I did attempt the tripod but I can't get into it and hate that the tripod is small on its highest level! Hence why I have taken more photographs on my Instagram with all my outfits on the floor. I've had to try and be productive in other ways! Thank god my Mum is back now though!
Okay so this look was taken last week! I was drawn to the Pull and Bear dress because it has a suede texture and I also like the length? Most dresses are too short on me, but the large is floaty and flattering and a reasonable length! In this look I decided to layer it with the River Island checked cape. Okay admittedly my mum thought it looked like a massive tea towel but I don't think it looks that bad with a belt to make it look fitted. I love the colours on the cape though! I lot of capes i've seen have been vibrant so its nice to wear a cape with softer colours. I think its literally how you wear it if you want to avoid the 'tea towel look' as my mum called it! The cape really helped dress down the look with the knee high boots. At first when I just wore the dress and the boots I felt a bit out of my comfort zone? Ive never worn that combo before! But the cape helped to make the look casual, and I enjoyed wearing a cape in a different way. I bet I have dressed a cape now in every possible way! If you can think of another way to dress a cape different to how I've dressed mine lately then please LET ME KNOW ! I'm looking for new ideas now!
I think the Asos hat completed the look for me. The outfit didn't look complete without the hat! I bought it back in August when I was going to Barcelona but love that I can still use it now for my autumnal looks! The elephant chain is so pretty and it fits my head perfectly!
I'm going somewhere exciting next week and bless my mummy she is keen to take lots on photos in this location, even though this place we are going to for the weekend is for her 50th Birthday! Can't wait to show you when the time comes!

  1. I love the cape trend! Unfortunately I'm super short so I'd just look like I was wearing a blanket out in public hahah

    1. Also, I feel always feel like when I add a hat to an outfit it just seems to complete the look! I love the chain around that hat, so cool.

  3. I'm so glad I found this, I didn't even know there was a cape trend going on! (It probably hasn't hit the states yet because we're just not as cool). You work it so well here and honestly now I really want to go out and get this look. Especially those boots, they are my favorite part! Beautiful girl, beautiful pictures, beautiful blog!
