Helloo!!
Okay I like this outfit very much and did enjoy wearing it, but I feel very weird at the same time! For starters I don't tend to wear blazers. Especially blazers and matching shorts! But I fell in love with this set straight away because I think this tartan colour is gorgeous and I thought it would go with my hair colour (do you have to think of these things ya know!) . I ordered a 10 in the jacket and a 12 in the shorts. The blazer fits perfectly! It does have small shoulder pads in, but I think thats no biggie, especially with this fur stole, you can't see them! Ideally there should be a size 11 as size 12 Missguided shorts are always loose around my waist but I know for a fact that a 10 wouldn't get past my hips! They were fine with a shirt tucked in though, so I can deal with a little bagginess!
The fur stole was purely spur of the moment. I felt that anyone could just wear a blazer and matching shorts, and I wanted to be more creative with my styling. Luckily I had this fur stole which is old, but did the job perfectly! I felt luxurious, and it changed the look completely! There are so many fur stoles at the moment, but the one I linked above in my opinion, would best suit this look.
The shoes I'm still really unsure of, it's because Ive never worn shoes like this before!!! I saw them in the Manchester Primark when I was up for the day last week. I was drawn to the colour, and then I thought they could look nice with culottes. I don't have many flats, and I'm not massive shoe person, but I was fine to pay a tenner for these!
I tried them with this look bare footed, but felt that they were rather boyish looking? The frill socks were a life saver for this outfit! They just made these look so feminine and went with the 'fashionable school girl look' so, so well! When an outfit goes together, and you find items like finding the missing pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, it's such a brilliant feeling! I admit I'm a perfectionist, and trust me there have been outfits that Ive photographed, and then Ive not been happy about something when Ive viewed the photographs on the lappy. Do I upload them still? No, I have to do them all over again. I suppose that can make me behind with my blogging, and I don't think I can do that as much when the weather gets crappier. I think I just need to give myself more time to plan. Because I admit sometimes I do freestyle and ideas just come to me as I go along. Or will change something last minute just before I go out the door to take the photographs!
But anyways.. let me know your thoughts on this! Do you love tartan? Or even tartan printed co ords? Opinion on the shoes!? Be honest I'm still unsure with the frill socks but thought I would give it a go haha! I think I just need to wear them a few times to get used to them ^^
