When The Pixie Cut met CageCity..

I wish I had a mini photo studio !!!!

* squeals*LOOK AT ALL THE FRIGGIN CLOTHES !!

*cough*
Hey all!!
So a couple weeks ago I had an amazing opportunity to go to the Cage City studio and basically play dress up! Apologies for the delay there was some kerfuffle with getting some of the original photographs over!
I had heard of Cage City before, and knew they had worked with bloggers on a weekly basis so I felt so lucky to get an invite by them to go have some photographs taken!
CageCity are a fun, colourful online store that specialise in  unique, handmade and up and coming brands to give the image of what a 'CageCity girl' should be like. On their site, they say 'a cage city girl, is laid back and playful, who doesn't take herself so seriously. She has fun with style and isn't a slave to 'fashion'.
Spending the day with these guys proved that! I had such a awesome and amazing experience, which at times was challenging, but happy with the outcome and enjoyed my time in London!
I will be honest, to begin with I was bricking it! This was my first time going out of my comfort zone and travelling to a part of London that I wasn't familiar with.  I was even wondering how I was going to cope making 6 outfits as planned! I had a good at the items online and loved many of their clothes, but I just didn't know what to expect, and even what sizes they would have ha.
Their room was so funky and cosy! I had a massive selection of clothes to chose from it was almost overwhelming, like...where do you begin!?!
So I started with what my favourite outfit was, and had those photographs taken behind the white background indoors (its the first photograph scroll up!!)  Don't get me wrong I love the outfit, but looking back at the other outfits I think there was another outfit which I preferred more, I only realised that after I tried them on and had the photographs taken that another outfit was grower ha. I sill LOVE the paisley shirt and wanted to show it open because I wanted to layer. Would love gorgeous with high waisted jeans!

So now we went up on the rooftop eeee!!! This was so exciting and a totally new experience for me! Im always used to my boyfriend or mum taking photographs or I will use the remote, so it was really odd to have someone take my photographs, and then have someone use a mobile, and someone even film at times! It was out of my comfort zone, but have no regrets giving it a go! So apologies if I looked nervous in any of them, its only because this was all new for me!

(NOTE: All the photoshoot outfits were taken by cage city not me or the boyfriend ha!)
Top (likely it's sold out!)

I think this outfit was my favourite in the end. The top is LUSH! I love the thin tassels and the gold subtle beads attached. Its lovely when you give it a twirl and sits really nice on.
The shorts are my favourite item out of the entire collection, and mentioned this also in the interview, I love that they are comfy, colourful and easy to wear. Perfect for festivals, or to throw over a bikini! Worth every penny guys!

Probably my 2nd favourite outfit was the Minkpink dress and top! I loved pattern- clashing this look! The dress sat so nicely and has a lovely skater flare. The boxy crop top was the perfect length to sit on the waist and made it look very flattering. I felt really girly wearing this, but would be to easy make this edgy with some chunky boots and a leather jacket.

Something I wouldn't normally wear but loved wearing it was the black jumper with the patterned sleeves. I think its easy to make jumpers look boyish and really tried to avoid going for that look! I loved the leopard pattern on the sleeves, and I brightend the outfit with the lilac shorts. I loved it! I felt funky but still feminine in this. A jumper like this would be suitable for any sunny, chilly evenings or I can see it looking nice with a pattern clashing midi skirt?
If you want to see the rest of the outfits do check out the page by clicking the link below for the interview, they are on the same page ^^

Later on I got interviewed by Nadine the owner who is LOVELY. She made me feel comfortable and enjoyed being interviewed. It gave me some practise for if I ever get onto Youtube I suppose! But was nice to have chat about blogging. If you wanna see the interview and would like to have a laugh, listening to my voice, click here..

Overall I found this experience a real eye opener and to be honest I was hesitant to go! Do throw yourself in the deep end, because you will regret it otherwise, not knowing what it would have been like. I am very thankful for Nadine and the crew at Cage City to give me this opportunity, especially being a newbie to all of this! I loved feeling like a Cage City girl for the day, and challenging myself to pick clothes I wouldn't normally wear, but in the end, I was loving the outfits!!!
Does anyone have a favourite outfit? Ever been nervous about doing something new, but was happy to give it a go afterwards? Let me know I would love to hear!! ^^
