Pink and floral.. a change that I quite like!

I am so not sly with the remote!! haha
Kimono £24.99 // Quiz clothing
Bag // Accessorize (It's sold out, these would work though 1  2  3  )
Top £8 // Topshop
Jeans £36 // Topshop
Sunnies £16 // Topshop
Necklace // Miss Selfridge (see similar/nicer here and here
Shoes // Primark ( I think £12? but found IDENTICAL ones here handy for ordering online ^^)

Hey all!!

I will be honest... I don't tend to wear pink haha (I'm sure you have noticed!) But I made an expecption for this kimono that Quiz kindly gave me, purely because I liked the floral pattern and the other colours that blended in with it. The colours remind me of a warm summers evening and looks lovely on! Plus its totally different to any other kimono I own so it stands out nicely in my wardrobe!
I wanted to make the kimono do the talking so kept the outfit casual and simple. But you can tell that effort has been made here and there ^^
I also especially love the pink (yes pink) tassels at the bottom too! It helps to make the kimono bright but looks gorgeous with anything white or pastel colours. Would look amazing with a white co ord like this perhaps (click! ) Or if you are daring, by all means pattern clash!
I used a layered necklace that had the right amount of bling to it. It wasn't too chunky and sat nicely also (look at the close ups!). Wish I could show you the link but it isn't online! The ones I've chosen would look just as nice or even nicer to be fair!
This then went nicely with the flats which are a bargain and worth every penny!!! If they don't sell them anymore in Primark, you can get the exact ones from the link above! I can't see many differences apart from them being a tad pricier (probably better quality I would say!)
I can never fault my joni jeans, and these have been my favourite colour for the summer! They go with pretty much everything and last considering they are stretchy. The quality lasts a long time in these bad boys!
If there was anything I would improve in this look I would have maybe added my flower garland. But I wanted to keep it looking like a nice casual day look, because I have done so many festival styles lately!
Ofc it would look amazing for a festival also! With some denim shorts, a lace bra let, flower headband and some funky wellies you would be sorted!
I think this look would be great though for a casual evening meal or even a FIRST DATE! Its girly and shows that you have coloured matched in places and also added some accessories. I will admit my boyfriend can dislike some of my over the top looks but loves the 'girl next door' appearance. Anything cute and tidy haha!
How would you have dressed this kimono? Don't get me wrong this was a bit of a challenge to dress because I don't own anything pink! But happy with the overall outfit ^^
